I can’t speak highly enough of Karl. Karl is an excellent builder and an all around great guy. He has an eye for design and finishes all his work with a meticulous attention to detail. We had Karl help us with a bunch of jobs around our home. This included replacing our dormer window which had rotten through, mending and rehanging 6 French doors that were in various degrees of disrepair and a bunch of odd jobs in and around the house. Every piece of work was delivered to the highest quality, Karl consulted with us on each aspect prior to undertaking, completed the work on time and was always punctual and courteous when arranging for times to arrive and when in our home. The dormer was a particularly tricky job as it sits on the 3rd floor on a very sharp angled roof. Karl worked through high temperatures to get the job done and finished it to an extremely high quality. He did an equally excellent job on our French doors, cutting out and replacing rotten wood, replacing the beading, reworking the locks, and shaving and rehanging each door so that it opens smoothly. It’s like having 6 new doors where as previously some of these doors could barely open. Karl also saved us thousands in having to replace the doors and we’ve been able to keep these beautiful pieces as a feature of our home. Thank you very much for all of your work Karl. Stop looking, you've found your builder. Karl is honest, knowledgeable and friendly. Karl completed a near full renovation for us, new bathroom, new kitchen, floors, walls, doors, windows- the lot. His work was nothing short of exceptional. If Karl said he was going to be here at "x" time, you knew he was going to be there. I popped in after hours one night during the demolition of kitchen and bathroom, to find all tools and equipment neatly stacked and even his work boots placed under a workbench. You wouldn't have known there was a demolition going on. During the kitchen demolition, Karl held on to some select floorboards that otherwise would have been destined for landfill, I had no idea why. When it came time time to do the floors, Karl then used some of the reserve floorboards to replace damaged ones saving us thousands of dollars and who knows how long in sourcing replacements. After windows were installed, we had someone from another company here installing shutters- they had never seen windows as perfectly square as what Karl installed for us. I cannot recommend Karl and Advanced Craft Carpentry enough. Stop looking, you've found your builder.
